Chapter One…Revenue Business Aviation.

My fellow Aviation Enthusiasts.  Should you be, or should you know an angel investor, a venture capitalist, a peer-to-peer lender, or a highly sophisticated investor interested in making money in the revenue aviation sector, please let them know about us. It will most definitely be worth your while, and theirs!

While being profitable in business aviation is indeed a rare event, it can be done when you know how to do it. And we know exactly how to make massive profits without ever owning, maintaining, or operating any aircraft of any type(Question: Is Amazon profitable because they own everything they sell?)

Imagine a disruptive aviation system that completely dominates the entire revenue side of the business aviation industry without risk, liabilities, or any FAA involvement. All of the prevalent problems associated with aviation of any kind are eliminated, from the unexpected, to the unknown. Envision the marvel of setting, maintaining, and keeping to an actual budget–an unheard-of thing in revenue aviation today.

We have created an innovative, industry changing system that will change everything about the way revenue aviation works today. Simply put, we know how to make the business of business aviation work effectively, which in turn will be highly profitable for everyone involved. Simple transitions convert into extremely profitable operations without the liabilities or risks normally associated with aviation operations.

This system is the disruptor that everyone has been waiting for. It will be providing services and benefits for users not available today. It will make actual profits for everyone involved, from aircraft owners to aircraft operators and charter brokers-all while being consistently and spectacularly profitable for investors with the vision and wisdom to sense the opportunity…This can, this should, and this will be developed. The only question is “will you be a part of it?”

Who am I to make these bold statements? Well, I am the creator of two extraordinarily successful and globally known companies. I also have over 21,000 PIC flight hours. And FYI, being a high time jet pilot, and the successful creator of multiple aviation businesses, well that is not a coincidence! It is, however, an absolute requirement in order to be successful in the business of business aviation.

My name is Rick Eriksen and the two companies I have created and co-founded are both billion-dollar operations today. The first company I created and co-founded was at the specific request of The Federal Reserve Bank in 1969, initially known as Midwest Air Charter. I left Midwest after 6 years in 1976 to become the chief pilot for Mercedes Benz North America. What added to the exceptional esteem of being requested to be CP for MBNA is that it came from an original Tuskegee airman (an ace), that worked for one of the Benz companies. After I left Midwest, Midwest became known as Airborne and today is known as DHL. Like it says on the back door of any DHL truck, “DHL established in 1969”.

I was CP for Benz for 12 years until 1988. Then after repeatedly experiencing the very real-life trauma and complex issues (aka the bag of snakes that is aviation maintenance), it became clear to me how to control those issues, so I created the concept and co-founded Jet Support Services Inc. in 1988/89. So, I left Benz in 1988 and moved back to my hometown of Chicago to create, and co-found Jet Support Services Inc., aka JSSI out of Chicago with Rick Haskins my sole investor.

Today both Mid-West/DHL and JSSI are multibillion dollar operations and are both known globally and highly profitable, and this new concept will dwarf both along with every other operator, system, or wannabe in the industry.

The realities of my skill set, and operational capabilities are the very real difference between why my concepts work and are accepted internationally, versus what passes in the world of business aviation today as “success.” My programs are based on actual knowledge, real need, logic, and expertise. And they work.

Our team is of the highest quality available in the aviation world today. The real-world expertise for this project ranges from maintenance to full blown operations. Our talent comes from the very real world of aviation including Boeing and major corporate flight operations.

Our team is not only the best of the best. They know and they believe as I do that to correct and transition business aviation from the overpriced “time sharing (aka fractional)” and “insipid piggyback chartering”, to the bland uninspired cards, shares, empty legs flights… is to simply change all aspects of revenue aviation to a system that benefits all its consumers and all its participating providers. To be in business aviation, you must understand aviation and what you are doing. I am my team more than meet that requirement many times over.

And for the sake of business aviation this system can, and needs to be done, and the sooner the better.  The first one who does it will own it all…it is 100% achievable, 100% practicable, and 100% unparalleled.

I am not another trust fund baby, or another fast talking aviation wannabe Dunning Kruger specimen. I am not some aviation abysmal amateurish leader that thinks they can operate an aviation business because they know the difference between a duck and a jet airplane.  I don’t attend air shows and conventions as if that makes me unique. Every one of those that do believing that they are the last Coke in the fridge has the same simple and unsolvable problem; they have no idea what an aircraft is, what it does, or how to operate one. I even know of one CEO in business aviation who claims that he is in financial services and that THAT is what matters, not knowledge of aviation. However, this “genius” is now in a position to be asked, “Why then did you have to get bailed out, twice?” (Or should the question be, “What happened to the reserve accounts?”)

I am an actual typed rated jet pilot that happens to be creative and understands all the issues in the business of business aviation at every level.  Therefore, I know how to fix the problems. I proved it twice. Now it is time to completely change business aviation, and change it all, by making it better. Should you want to be part of building the greatest revenue business aviation program ever known, now is the time!

Next post up is TAM, the Total Available Market, and FYI, it is a much bigger than anyone thinks or as any appreciation for, in fact, it is monstrous and when developed correctly will own the entire business of business aviation.
